The purpose of this regulation is to minimize the negative impact of the waste on both the environment and the common good and to save raw materials and energy.
The regulation dictates that batteries’ waste should be collected and transported for recycling by authorized recycling corporations, following specific standards.
Both direct waste producers and producers of other products which incorporate batteries are obliged to recycle.
